Switzerland was historically a country of farmers, so that traditional Swiss dishes are prepared with simple ingredients, such as Vegetables, Meat and Cheese like the famous Swiss Gruyère which was nominated beginning of 2020 as the World best Cheese.

The most popular dishes from the western part of Switzerland are mostly prepared with cheese and meat, like the Bifteck de bœuf à la bière or in Swiss German Saftplätzli, the Käseplatte, Walliser Plate, as well as Fondue and Raclette.

The northwestern and northeast Swiss dishes offer a large variety of mostly meat dishes like the Wurst Käse Salat, Chäs Schnitte, Alpenmagronen, Käse Sandwich und Schinken Sandwich and the “Swiss favorite", the Cordon Bleu which is prepared with “Veal” or lean “Porkloin”, stuffed with Swiss Ham and Swiss Cheese, as well as the Sennenrösti, the SchniPo (Breaded Porkloin Schnitzel with French Fries) a Berner Rösti (with bacon and onions) topped with a grilled Porkloin Steak topped with tomatoes, apple slices, then over-backed with Gruyère. But the most famous Swiss dish is the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes mit Rösti.

Switzerland is also famous for desserts and one of the most known is the Meringues from the region of Bern, the Flambierter Apfel from Thurgau and the Apfelstrudel which comes from the northwestern part of Switzerland and which is one of the Swiss favorite desserts. But we also offer special Swiss Coffee, like the Kaffee Luz and Kaffee Fertig, as well as from the south of Switzerland the Caffe Corretto con Vino Rosso or Grappa.

All our Cordon-Bleus are prepared with aged lean porkloin steaks. The Cordon Bleu we stuff with swiss cheese, swiss ham or other ingredients – see below, they are breaded with egg, flour and breadcrumbs, then pan-fried in sunflower oil. We top them traditionally with lemon wedges. We served them with potatoes (wedges or french fries) and mixed salad or with the mentioned side dish , see Cordon Cini and Cordon Zola.
